Unlike standard online BMW ID profiles that rely on ConnectedDrive cloud synchronization, these offline profiles retain all personal vehicle settings without requiring a BMW ID account, internet connectivity, or cloud sync. The service permanently writes profile data to the vehicle’s infotainment system, supporting up to 7 offline driver profiles (matching the vehicle’s storage limit) and preserving customizations such as seat position, climate control, infotainment preferences, driver recognition (PIN/key fob), and shortcut configurations. It is designed for regions without ConnectedDrive coverage, fleet vehicles, or users prioritizing offline functionality and data privacy.
